Letter to the Editor: Shoutout to MCH for 70th anniversary celebration

This is a huge shoutout to our Memorial Community Hospital staff for hosting such a generous and wonderful 70th Anniversary party….for the Blair community and surrounding area. After reading that 15 care facilities and hospitals have closed in Nebraska in the past four years, this makes our local Hospital even more treasured. We are so fortunate to have such caring nurses, PAs, doctors, receptionists, therapists, and specialists. These local citizens have been ever present, courteous and professional every time we’ve been to the clinic. The new rehab center and aqua therapy pool is first class!

It’s been a huge convenience for us these past six years to be able to stay local.

The first hundred guests Tuesday evening were treated to free meals by any of the several food trucks. Facepainting, free cupcakes, history booths, and music made for a pleasant evening of smiling families strolling through the vendors…and the rain held off until the next day! Couldn’t have had a more perfect “picnic”.
